Can you believe Thanksgiving is almost one week away!? As you begin or continue your planning process for your party or get-together, remember one thing, "keep calm and gobble on"! I know the process can be very overwhelming and frustrating at times, but always remember to be {thankful} for the opportunity! Whether you're planning to {give thanks} with family, friends, or both, you're on the East or West Coast, you live in the North or the South, or you plan to travel internationally, there is always, always, always something to be {thankful} for.
So, here are my Tuesday pre-Turkey Day, one week early, tips for you! Sit back, look at these ideas and {gobble} them up. This post is meant to guide you or even help you. Oh and {thanks} again for stopping by! :)
Decor:
I truly enjoy every part of the styling process, but I think that searching for the decor could be my absolute fav! I feel as if the decor can absolutely "make" a party. It can literally transform a simple theme into something extraordinary! Here are a few examples:
A banner is a simple staple to transform your fireplace, wall, or setting! |
Appetizers:
Mini and bite size are definitely in! As a Hostess, you want to find a way to eliminate wasting as much food as possible. Your guests will obviously love to snack while they smell the delicious aroma of the turkey cooking, but don't prepare too much. Here are a few creative ideas:
Mini sweet potato bites! |

How cute is this fruit tray? |
Creative veggie tray! |
Desserts:
Dessert is another area where you will want to try and stick with bite size. As I mentioned in one of
my facebook posts this week, "from appetizers to turkey, to stuffing and all the in between, it is so hard to find room for dessert. Mini desserts are in and they are a fabulous alternative! Try making them this year and see how much dessert you will save!" Here a few "small" ideas:
Mini pecan pumpkin pie shooters! |
Mini pies! |
Mini cupcakes with toppers! |
My personal fav, cupcake toppers! NOTE: replace original size with mini cupcakes! |
Favors:
Looking for a simple way to say {thank you}? Favors are never a must (although, I highly recommend them), just a nice gesture and a way to say "thanks for coming". Here are a few ideas:
How cute this this? Creative and yummy! |
Favor tags add that extra touch to any party favor! |
Boxed favors add a little "surprise" for your guests!
So, those are just a few tips and suggestions for you to use this {Thanksgiving}. Now take a second and say to yourself, "today I am thankful" and remember to start each day with a {grateful} heart! Happy Afternoon! Xoxo
